Iris Registration Makes Lasik Surgery More Precise
It's the same technology used in high-tech security eye scanners and now a Southwest Florida doctor is using it to make lasik surgery more effective. Doctors say the new technology makes the future of lasik surgery a lot more clear.
He waited three years just to be sure he wanted to go through with it.
"I guess something could go wrong. That's what they tell you," said Tim Huckaby.
Huckaby has 20-400 vision in his left eye. Anything 20 feet in front of him is a blur.
"Even driving from the office to the house. I drive every day, I know where it's at, but at the same time you can't read road signs," said Huckaby.
He was nervous about getting lasik surgery, especially at $4700.
But he found a doctor who made him feel comfortable. It wasn't just the doctor's bedside manner that made him more comfortable.
